iBOARD has its roots in riding. Founder Mike (Frosty) Frost took up snowboarding in 1994 and has since been addicted to multiple forms of sideways riding. We began to sell snowboards when we became aware of a new technology becoming available. IN 2001 Frosty had a chance to test ride the patented INCA dual camber snowboard and despite his initial skepticism the ride proved to be superior to traditional single camber snowboards. This proved pivotal and led to a direct approach of taking the boards to the mtns and allowing riders to test the ride before deciding to buy. While at the Las Vegas snow industry show in 2001 we discovered ‘Freebord’ the ride that can truly imitate snowboarding on the pavement. Only Freebord carves and slides like your snowboard.
